International Advanced Practice Experiences 2015-2016

UTCOP student pharmacists had the opportunity to take part in an international experience this year, traveling to countries across the globe. “My international rotation in New Zealand was so eye-opening. It was great getting to learn about a different type of health care system, and it made me appreciate what we have in America. It also made me grateful for the high level at which pharmacists can practice in the US. New Zealand was beautiful, and my time there was one of the greatest experiences I had during pharmacy school!” – Hannah Donnelly

Brandi Bowlin, Brandon Ladd, Matt Reddin, and Trey Smith expanded their knowledge of pharmacy and the Japanese culture on their rotation in Hiroshima, Japan.

“My experience on my international rotation to Japan was truly once in a lifetime. Everyone from the preceptors who organized the trip, to the students who facilitated our travel made sure that our stay in Japan was warm and rich in culture. It was a privilege to be welcomed into their healthcare setting to see how pharmacy is practiced within their patient population. The experience had a profound effect on me culturally, socially, and professionally.” – Brandon Ladd
